1. Preparing for the Work
• Please ensure our team has safe and uninterrupted access to all work areas.
• We kindly ask that personal items like garden furniture, planters, and ornaments are moved before we arrive.
• Clean running water and electric access are essential for our tools and processes.
• We’ll handle all debris and waste removal unless we’ve agreed otherwise in advance.
• Fixtures such as alarm boxes, Sky dishes, outdoor lighting, or cables should be safely removed before we start. We can help guide you through this process if needed.
________________________________________
2. Scaffolding
• If you’d like the scaffolding left up for other trades, just let us know. We’ll liaise with the scaffolding company, but extra hire fees may apply.
• Scaffolding will be removed as soon as possible after project completion, usually within 2–10 days, once the invoice is settled.
• For safety and liability reasons, only Maca Rendering Ltd staff or authorised contractors may access the scaffolding.

3. Adjustments and Cancellations
• If you need to tweak the work or add extras, we’ll revise the quote accordingly and confirm everything with you in writing.
• Unexpected complications that arise will be openly discussed, with fair and transparent cost adjustments.
• If you cancel within 5 days of your start date or after scaffolding is up, we may need to charge for materials or labour already committed.

4. Choosing Your Finish
• For Monocouche systems, we recommend selecting your colour early to get the full range. Last-minute choices may limit your options.
• Silicone render colours can usually be chosen a week before we complete the base layers.
• Mineral renders are available in core colours like White, Ivory, and Grey. These need around 2–3 weeks lead time.
________________________________________
5. Electricals & Wall Fixtures
• We’re not certified to handle electrical reattachments. For safety, we ask clients to arrange removal and reconnection of any lighting, alarms, or CCTV.
• We’ll safely remove non-electrical items (house numbers, baskets, etc.) and place them aside.
• If needed, we can remove a Sky dish, but reconnection and signal realignment must be handled by a qualified engineer.
________________________________________
6. Pipes and Guttering
• We temporarily remove downpipes and guttering during the job and reattach them where possible.
• If render needs more time to harden, we might suggest hiring a tradesperson to reattach certain fixtures safely.
________________________________________
7. Vehicles & Neighbourly Courtesy
• We suggest keeping vehicles at least 6 metres from working areas to avoid dust or accidental contact.
• We aim to work cleanly and respectfully, especially near neighbouring properties, and ask that you kindly inform neighbours of our presence.
• Please expect some noise and mess, this is a by-product of stripping and applying heavy-duty render. We’ll always clean up thoroughly at the end.
________________________________________
8. Surface Appearance
• Direct or glancing light can highlight natural undulations even on expertly rendered walls.
• We work to British Standards (BS EN 13914-1:2005), which state render shouldn’t be judged under glancing light.
________________________________________
9. Damp
Our render shouldn’t be applied to areas with active rising damp or failed DPCs. Please consult a dam specialist beforehand if
needed. Damp/Failed DPC. It is the clients responsibility to know whether their property has a damp proof course (DPC). It is
not the responsibility of Maca Rendering Ltd to asses or repair failed DPC’s.

________________________________________
10. Project Boundaries
• Render is a cosmetic and weatherproofing finish, not a structural correction. We aim to smooth the wall surface, not correct serious unevenness.
• Any major issues with nearby fixtures (e.g., windows, decking) impacting our system must be resolved by the client in advance.
________________________________________
11. Garden & Property Care
• We’ll protect lawns and delicate areas while working. A thorough clean is part of our final handover.
• Please move any valuable or fragile items out of harm’s way.
• If work is near your roofline, have a few spare tiles handy just in case any breakage occurs — we’ll always do our best to avoid damage.
________________________________________
12. Payments & Invoicing
• Payment is requested within 3 days of completion.
• For Monocouche, payment is required prior to the sealer application, which follows a 6–10 day curing period.
• Our preferred method is bank transfer. For security, we’ll never ask you to change account details mid-project.
• Late payments may incur interest or be passed to a collections agency.
________________________________________
13. Extras & Surprises
• Please allow a small contingency (approx. 2–2.5%) for any unexpected changes (e.g., additional trim, Sky signal engineer).
• We won’t carry out additional works without first confirming with you and adjusting the cost accordingly.
